Iditaread

In reading we are doing the Iditaread. In Alaska there are mushers. They are in a race for the Iditarod contest. Along time ago a lot of people were sick in Nome so they had to sled 1,112 miles with sled dogs. So now we are trying to read 1,112 pages for the Iditaread. Each page is one mile. There are a lot of towns to go through in the contest.
In each contest in Alaska you have to let you have to let your dogs rest for 24 hours somewhere on the trail. When you’re at White Mountain at the end of the race you have to let your dogs rest for eight hours. We have until March 21st to read all of the pages. Along the check points we get prizes and so do they! My mushers are Pat Moon and Josh Cadzow.
